Execution and assembly  for industrial power plants and photovoltaic projects.

MIVA ELCO is a company with full private capital authorized and specialized in the implementation of photovoltaic systems for industrial use.

Having over 18 years of experience in the field of electrical installations, we can offer complete solutions for any type of project, from execution and assembly to the necessary maintenance of a photovoltaic installation project.

Between 2021 and 2023, our teams installed over 20MW of Industrial and Commercial Photovoltaic Systems in Romania.

What does on grid and off grid photovoltaic system mean?

An on-grid system is connected to the public electricity grid, while the off-grid system is independent of the grid.

The advantages of on-grid systems:

The surplus electricity produced can be sold on the national grid.

Photovoltaic systems can be easily adapted to any type of industrial or commercial needs: Production factories, warehouses, agricultural buildings, commercial spaces, etc.

On-grid photovoltaic systems use renewable and clean solar energy to generate electricity. They do not produce emissions of gases or other atmospheric pollutants, which contributes to reducing the impact on the environment and combating climate change. By installing an on-grid photovoltaic system, owners can help protect the environment and develop a more sustainable society.

PV panels and on-grid system components are designed to be durable and reliable on the long term. Solar panels have an estimated lifespan of over 25 years

Advantages of off grid systems:

It offers total independence from the national electrical grid.

Off-grid photovoltaic kits are used especially on isolated areas, where there is no public electricity supply network.

Off-grid photovoltaic systems are not connected to the national energy grid and store the surplus electricity produced during the day in a group of  accumulators.

The energy stored in the accumulators is then used to supply the consumers during the night or days without sun.

Off-grid systems are designed to be mobile and can be installed in various locations. These are suitable for use in camps, caravans, cabins, boats or other isolated places.

Off-grid systems are often used as a backup in case of natural calamities or in areas affected by frequent power outages. They can provide a safe and reliable power source during power outages or emergency situations.

Location and orientation:

Photovoltaic panels can be placed on any type of roof, wall, fence, ground or other industrial constructions.

In order to benefit from a maximum efficiency, the ideal angle of inclination of the panels should be 30°, oriented to the South, but East or West orientation is also recommended.

Important: Photovoltaic panels must not be shaded by obstacles.

Recommendations:

Get solar radiation data:

Before installing a photovoltaic plant, carry out an assessment of the solar potential of the production space. Check how much solar energy the location receives at different times of the year. This will help you size the system correctly and estimate the energy output.

Knowing the exact geographic coordinates of the location is important to correctly calculate sun exposure and estimate available solar radiation.

You can access information about average solar radiation in your area from local weather agencies, online services, or solar analysis companies. This data will help you understand how much solar energy the location receives at different times of the year.

Orientation and inclination analysis:

Usually, facing south provides the best exposure to the sun in the northern hemisphere. Also, consider the optimal inclination of the solar panels to ensure efficient solar energy capture, depending on the latitude of the location.

Analysis of shadows and obstructions:

Identify any obstructions such as tall buildings, trees or other objects that could cast shadows on the solar panels. These shadows can reduce the power output of the PV system.

Calculate the estimated energy output:

Use solar radiation data and solar panel specifications to estimate the electricity output of the PV system. This will involve factors such as the efficiency of the solar panels, the size of the system and other factors specific to the equipment chosen.

Consult experts in the field:

Consult a specialist in the field of solar energy or a company specializing in the installation of photovoltaic systems. They can perform a detailed analysis and provide information specific to your situation.

It is important to note that this is a general assessment and that exact results may vary depending on the specific site conditions and specifications of the chosen PV system.
